MIT is a partnership between Carrix, Inc. and the Motta and Heilbron families.

Carrix is a privately-owned company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington. Their principal operating division, SSA Marine, is the largest marine terminal operator, stevedore and rail terminal operator in the United States. The international division of SSA Marine is SSA International with headquarters in Colon, Panama.  This branch of the company is responsible for and oversees operations in Chile, Mexico, Panama as well as all other SSA International container projects.
